𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞: 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞
A young man approached me with a question that was not about wealth, marriage, or career stability. Instead, he asked:
“What is my purpose? Why was I born? What is the reason for my existence?”
This question struck me deeply. It was not just about fate but about destiny—not just about what will happen, but why it must happen. This was not someone merely seeking answers; this was someone seeking meaning.
Understanding the Soul’s Journey
In Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra (BPHS), Maharishi Parashara teaches that to understand one’s soul’s purpose, we must examine the Atmakaraka—the planet that represents our deepest karmic mission. However, one of the most profound teachings I have ever received was from Deepanshu Sir when he taught us about the 14 Lokas (realms of existence).
He explained that each soul originates from a specific Loka, carrying its past karmas and lessons into this lifetime. By analyzing both the Atmakaraka and the Loka connection, we can unlock a powerful understanding of why a person is here on Earth and what they must fulfill.
So, I decided to combine these two techniques and dive deep into this young man’s chart.
The Revelation in His Chart
As I examined his horoscope, I found Mercury to be his Atmakaraka, placed in Capricorn in the 4th house, while its lord Saturn was exalted in Libra in the Ascendant. His 10th house of karma was ruled by Cancer.
Suddenly, it all became crystal clear.
Capricorn represents karma and discipline—the path one must walk.
The 4th house governs public service—his duty was to serve people.
Mercury rules communication and intellect—his purpose was to use his mind, words, and skills to uplift others.
Saturn in Libra shows unfulfilled karmic responsibilities toward society, demanding balance and justice.
From what I had learned in Predictive Astrology Part 11, this indicated that his true purpose was to serve humanity using his intelligence, communication, and skills. But the most fascinating aspect was Mercury’s connection to children, revealing that his service would involve helping young lives—perhaps through education, counseling, or running an NGO.
Confirming the Prediction
When I shared these insights with him, he paused, took a deep breath, and then said something that gave me chills:
“Yes, this is exactly what I do. For years, I have been working with orphaned children, donating to NGOs, and ensuring that underprivileged kids have access to food and education. I have never felt drawn to material success, but I feel a deep sense of peace when I help these children. It’s as if my soul finds fulfillment in their smiles.”
He then added something even more incredible—his organization had recently started working with the transgender community, providing shelter and education to those in need. This aligned perfectly with Saturn in Libra, which represents justice for marginalized communities.
The Lesson from This Experience
This moment was more than just a successful prediction. It was a reminder that astrology is not just about forecasting the future—it is about uncovering the deeper purpose of life itself.
When we, as astrologers, are able to provide someone with a meaningful direction, when we can confirm the unspoken truths that someone already feels in their heart, the value of astrology goes beyond mere prediction—it becomes a guiding light.
This consultation left me with a renewed sense of gratitude—gratitude for my Guru, Deepanshu Sir, for sharing these divine techniques, gratitude for astrology as a sacred science, and gratitude for the opportunity to help people find their soul’s true calling.
When we truly understand astrology, it ceases to be just a tool for predictions—it becomes a pathway to self-realization. And that, I believe, is the most powerful gift we can offer the world.

I have used multiple techniques to decode the chart—some from Predictive Astrology Part 1, some from Part 2, and a few from Gemini Sutram as well. Each technique offers a unique perspective, helping to understand different aspects of the chart in a more profound way.

Brilliant as i also have same combination with Mercury as Atmakaraka in 4th house capricorn however Saturn in 5th house Aquarius. I have always felt like doing something for young students, to uplift them, to have them on right track. Thanks for posting.
-
If you have Mercury in the 4th house in Capricorn, there is a strong possibility that at some point, your home has been visited or inhabited by a pigeon or some other bird.
-
Yes pigeon came to my house in India last time i was there. They still come however we try to not have them make nests. Here in Vancouver Canada, i have lot of birds like sparrows and crows visit me.

How beautifully universe works.. in morning u was thinking on the same topic what soul actually want one must see his/ her sun for soul satisfaction… …..

-
Namast sir, i have a question. Sir like when we show the charts/see the charts, let’s say for example an astrologer says that you will go for some job in police or army etc. Then is that fixed like if that individual wants to become something else then can’t he choose to be that ? And let’s say if it’s possible to choose then will opportunities according to that automatically come up in life by the universe? Or what’s true exactly? Please do say sir.
-
When an astrologer tells you that you will enter a certain field, it means that you have taken birth in this life to fulfill karmic responsibilities related to that area. However, if you have a personal desire to pursue something different, you are free to do so. There is a difference between passion and profession—when a person aligns their passion with their profession, that is when their soul’s true desires are fulfilled.
-
Thank you so much sir. So like nothing is fixed and that we can choose what we want to do, where etc. ?
-
-
Thank you so much sir for this guidance. Today since morning I was a lot worried that if all of it is fixed then why do we even work if we can’t even go to our own desired places and choose what we want. Now I got you that certain tendencies are given but nothing is fixed. Life unfolds the way we want and work for. Thank you so much sir. .

Namaste sir and complete lunar astro team.
Sir, I used to be fit enough that I rarely ever took a single tablet in whole life. But suddenly on the night of 30th March 2019 (I think it was Saturday night) I suddenly fell extremely ill and for the next 16-17 days i was admitted to hospital(7 days in icu). After a short discharge again I was admitted back for almost a month completely in hospital. I underwent laproscopy and finally the doctors discharged and ever since then slowly and steadily recovered and been on medicines since then. In 2023 when I felt like hundreds of pins were being pricked to my feet and I felt like someone out of the blues was punching me, and also a lot other problems but everyday something new, my late mother then asked an astrologer and he told to donate a few items to lord Shani Dev and so did I do all whatever was told. After that these problems started fading away. But even now small health problems continue to persistent even today. Please do share some light and your remedies sir. I already asked you once but you told go for it and I didn’t understand what is that. Please do say sir.
Thank you sir. -

Such a wonderful post!! Indeed astrology as a path to self realisation. I have always wondered about this why am I born on earth. This why haunts me every second and after discovering astrology the urge to know the answer to why has become stronger. I came across Sir’s videos and books for the same. I have AK Venus(Visakha) in 11 th house in own sign Libra with Mercury (Swati) and Sun in Virgo(Chitra) in 10th house. As per Sir, I saw in videos Sir mentioning Sag rising means cursed from devlok and in latest video Sir said to refer drekkana for the sign of the strongest between Moon and Sun and Moon being in Pisces in natal chart and in Cancer in Drekkana 8th house. I wonder shall I pursue astrology seriously and there is a deep desire to align my unknown passion with profession otherwise working only for money will never give me peace despite knowing money is important for survival. Thankyou because your post reinforced that we need to see it as a light to our deeper purpose.

Do you think Ketu in lagna will never allow an individual to know their life purpose as they know all about everything but nothing about them?
-
no not working like that if krtu is in lagna it means ketu ruled body but there are more planet’s who rule different areas of life and subconscious mind

LaCode5031, sir, I applied your technique to my chart, which shows Atmakaraka Jupiter in Capricorn (Retrograde) and its Lord Saturn in Pisces (in the dagdha rasi). The purpose is to impart knowledge and well-being resources like food, money, etc. to those who need them. I liked your article…Although I still don’t know how to pull out my Saturn from this dagdha environment

Did Deepanshu Giri sir write any articles about the 14 realms and their characteristics ??? If not….. Please write this article in future … Thank you…
-
Asked this to Deepanshu, didn’t get reply yet. Here is the question- why is it that AK is the purpose of the soul, but it may not be the strongest (with the shadbal) planet in chart? How to decode this? Shouldn’t AK get the strength and support since that is the purpose? Why are so many away from their purpose?
-
Atmakarak is the planet that reached the highest degree at the time of your birth, signifying that your soul intended for this planet to hold a superior position to the others. Remember that the predetermined aspects of your life are decided even before your soul takes on a body. Not every individual’s Atmakarak is their strongest planet, which is a primary reason why not everyone achieves the pinnacle of their field. Similarly, not everyone is afforded the opportunity to discover their true purpose or ultimate goal in life.
I hope this helps address your query.

-
Deepanshut sir also mentioned in an article that the true purpose of life can be determined by seeing Nakshatra where moon is placed and house where nakshatra lord is placed. From that viewpoint will the purpose of this individual be same ? How can this individual achieve higher state of consciousness?

For example , now in your case Ve is combusted that means either you willingly or circumstances will make you to neglect the responsibilities of the houses the venus is lord and now focus will be solely on the house where venus is sitting…
