Many people wonder why astrologers, despite their deep knowledge of planetary influences, don’t alter their own fate. This question is akin to asking why doctors, despite understanding diseases, still fall ill. Fate is shaped by various forces; sometimes, no remedy can override the stability of specific karmic patterns. Accepting Niyati (destiny) is a fundamental principle; one must humbly surrender to Kaal, for the Kaalchakra (wheel of time) is, in essence, the divine itself.

A profound example of this principle can be seen in Hanuman Ji. He possessed unparalleled strength and could have single-handedly defeated Ravana, bringing Lanka to ruins. Yet, he never overstepped the destined course of events. When Meghanada unleashed the Brahmastra upon him, Hanuman Ji could have resisted its power. However, he accepted it wholeheartedly out of deep respect for Brahma’s divine weapon and the cosmic order. A weapon capable of annihilating kings and entire armies merely rendered Hanuman Ji unconscious. So immense was his power that even in this state, Meghanada had to use Naagpasha to restrain him. Despite his ability to alter the course of the Ramayana, Hanuman Ji submitted to fate, imparting a profound lesson in humility and surrender.

Even the most powerful beings, those who can foresee and alter events, understand that destiny is merely a manifestation of the divine will. The illusion of control and the desire to bend fate are but illusions (Maya) that temporarily alter the cycle but eventually restore themselves. While Adridha Karma (modifiable karma) can be changed through effort and remedies, those on the path of liberation recognize that true surrender lies in embracing destiny as it unfolds.

It is often observed that highly enlightened beings fully accept their fate. When faced with illness, accidents or suffering, they rarely seek external interventions like medicine or treatment. This is not negligence but a deep reverence for divine will. Embracing fate as the will of the cosmos is not an ordinary feat; it requires immense spiritual maturity.

Hanuman Ji’s example teaches that one must endure hardships gracefully, honouring the cosmic order rather than seeking constant intervention. Remedies for Adridha Karma may ease suffering, but they demand an equal and opposite force in return. True wisdom lies in recognizing when to act and when to surrender; in surrendering to fate, one aligns with the divine rhythm.
