Namaskaram to all the Students of Jyotish
The chart shared is of a native who has Down Syndrome & Autism.
To understand the mental illnes better from such charts my focus was on Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, 5th house/5th Lord.
I had a some doubts about this chart, therefore reaching out to this learned forum.1. What are the deeper interpretive principles we must apply in Drekkana to understand cognitive or neurological disorders when the grahas don’t appear obviously afflicted? Though in D3 we do find Moon’s conjunction with 6th lord, mercury is 12th lord, jupiter 6th lord, but D3 didn’t exhibit clear or strong mental affliction to me, possibly I could be missing something.
2. How much weight should be given to Rashi vs D3 vs. D9 vs D12 or D30 when diagnosing mental disorders like Down Syndrome?
3. If Rashi and Navamsa appear supportive of mental illness, but D3 shows different results, should we consider that sufficient to explain the condition? Or must affliction be visible across multiple charts to conclude karmic causes?

Hi Shubham, If the person is suffering from down syndrome, first of all lagna should be afflicted. Venus is in Aslesha nakshatra with Rahu without any directional strength. Now this Venus in neecha by house position in D-3 and D-12 both. This Venus Rahu combo is 8th from moon and debilitated retro saturn is in 5th from moon. The Badhakesh Sun is in 12th house with 12th lord mercury. In D-3 also, it is in 12th house. The sign of Gemini that stands for communication afflicted by both Mars and Saturn. Mars is in Jyestha nakshatra of mercury only.
But I guess affliction to moon in all charts is very important here. Though moon dont have direct aspects, but the moon chart have affliction in 8th house in D-1. In D-3 too, Mars-Venus In pIsces in 8th house. Pisces show diseases which cant be solved.
