      Hello @lunarastro5001,

I would like to inform you that my son got a job offer letter a week ago. This time was extremely challenging and tough, and there were many many ups and downs which can’t be written here in the email as the email becomes too lengthy.

However, I can’t thank you enough for your constant help and guidance during this time. My son and I are extremely grateful to you for always answering my questions and giving me the remedies. I would like to personally thank @lunarastro5001 for his kindness, help and guidance during this time. I highly appreciate his availability and prompt response.

I will write an seperate story for the above story. Currently, we need your help with decision making as we have three choices right now.

      1. To work at Ansys: My son recently got a job at Ansys as a R&D Verification Engineer, where based on the description of the role, he would be testing and verifying the algorithm developed by the developer for Finite Element Methods. However, during the interviews and meetings, the manager told him that the clear description is not yet known as they now want to shift their whole process to a new hardware and for this new hardware, they don’t know anything, and everything would be starting from scratch. So, the work could be either designing the compiler and working on high performance computing or parallel programming or could be using machine learning to solve a problem. Nothing is fixed yet. One thing is sure that work will be at the intersection of mechanical engineering, hardware programming, and computer programming.

      2. To work at Google: He has been working very hard for this for the past 8 months and completed his final interview last week, and now waiting for the decision. The role is for software engineering. Under the software domain, the company is working on a variety of projects and the exact work will be disclosed in upcoming week, but it will be either working on software development or designing and verifying the cpu, machine learning or handling the large database or developing a system architecture. There are other more available domains as well but everything involves writing and reviewing computer code for different purposes and the role is of software engineering.

      3. To do a PhD: Two days ago, he was offered a PhD as well in the Civil and Structural Engineering department. The work is multidisciplinary in nature. He will be working on structural health monitoring (basically crack identification and damage diagnosis) using computer vision and deep learning algorithms. For this work, heavy emphasis is on machine learning and computer programming along with heaving solid knowledge of structural engineering.

All of the above mentioned opportunities rely on heavy mathematics and engineering. The kind of mathematics that is going to be used for each position is different. He has to make a decision as soon as possible and has to accept any of these opportunities and start working before the middle of July. We are currently considering all the factors such as future scope, stability, job security. My son is currently vasicalling while making a decision (and sometimes becoming a little biased) as all these three are of his interest and the one which he chooses will decide my present and future as well.

With that said, we would like to ask for your suggestion. It would be really helpful if you could let us know what can be a good option for his future. We would always be grateful to you.

Please let us know if you need more information on our side. Thank you for your time, help and consideration.

      Regards,
      Pragnesh

      • Dasa is of Ra – Me and Mercury in 8th in D10 so first option works best – as in D1 too – Mercury is in Scorpio as well – anything to do with parellel programming, cloud-based analytics or ML is ruled by this house as in PD of Ketu he has got the job so verifying algorithms, coding – decoding of compilers suits best here.

        • Hi @lunarastro5001, I am son of Pragnesh Mehta. I just have one simple question for you regarding the opportunities I have. So, I have a core engineering degree and the opportunities I got are inclined towards computer science. Do you think it is good for me to leave the engineering domain completely and get into computer science? I would like to consider job security, long term stability and future growth.

          • Yes, CS will work for long term

            • Hi @lunarastro5001, I am Vismay (Pragnesh Mehta’s son). I have received a call from Google today saying that my overall feedback is positive and they still want to do two more rounds of interviews. FYI, I have already completed my final round of interviews two weeks ago, but today they informed me they still want to go with two more rounds. With that, I would be grateful to you if you could let me know the next 1 to 1.5 months of time period to appear for interviews. Also, please let me know if I need to perform any remedies. I have been preparing for months for this opportunity and really want to move forward.

            • parallel programming, cloud base analytics, machine learning, verifying algorithms, coding decoding of compilers are all in option no 2 GOOGLE. So it is very important to get job in it for me. So please tell which dates is best for me to face 2 round of interviews.

            • Rahu mercury Venus start from 16th July will it helpful?
