Dasha of 4th house can give Depression if there is no support of friendly planets or if a planet gets isolated there – the Reason for Mental issues would be the dependent on the Sign and Planets.
Examples below –
Moon in Aries in 4th with aspect of Saturn/Jupiter – Family relations ended after Mother passed away which gave a lot of depression for the Native (MD was of Moon only)
Venus Rahu 4th Capricorn aspected by Mars – Concerened about Money and Job and not being able to find mental peace at all due to the same (MD was again of Moon).
Ketu in Virgo aspected by Jupiter – Imaging diseases of Family and in constant anxeity regarding every small detail (Moon Saturn was in Scorpio).
One of the most difficult positions that I have seen personally is Jupiter Moon 4th house afflicted with 2 or more malefic planets – They go through severe mental issues in its Dasha.
Another Chart had Virgo Lagna – with Saturn in Sagittarius and Jupiter Exalted in the 11th house – The family of the person had passed away under Natural Disaster with the exception of the native himself being alive.21 Comments-

Namaste Sir, I have a chart where native is running 4th house AD.
Gemini As, Mars+Ra in virgo and Jupiter (7th lord) aspecting from 8th H. Native is going though depression and mental trauma because of court cases with spouse. This native also has Moon+Me in D9 lagna and spouse has mental issues.
This will be applicable to moon dasha(cancer) or 4th house dasha, right?
