Surya- the king maker.

With the blessings of Lord Surya, my guru Deepanshu Sir and my mother, I’m writing this article.

Namaste everyone. Sun is a power house. It’s an energy source which is irreplaceable. There is only one Sun, one father, one government. The energy that we receive from sun provides life on earth. Without Sun in the solar system, there will be darkness and extreme coldness all around and life will not be able to prosper.

Sun provides us light and energy without asking for anything in return. It rises daily at a fixed time without expectation- with the intent of only giving. Doesn’t matter if you worship Sun or not, offer food, water or prayers. It will still rise every morning and provide energy to everyone without discrimination. Be it plants, microorganisms, thieves, a beggar, an average human being or a billionaire. They are all equal for sun. It only thinks about giving without expecting anything in return. And that’s why it’s the king of the solar system.

What makes human being a king is when think only about giving and not receiving. Once you get into the “kind mentality” in Deepanshu Sir’s words, you will start thinking about how you can provide for others. It will become your responsibility to provide without expectations and that’s what will truly make you a king.

When Sun is weak in a chart, a person only thinks about self. They do not think about how they can provide but they only think about how they can gain for their own benefit. And with that mentality, one can never become king. To become king one has to feel and act like one. Not from the surface but from the core. Which is difficult if there is weak/afflicted Sun in a chart.

Doing some very basic remedies of Sun will add strength to weak Sun and you will feel a slight shift in your consciousness. Slowly you will start thinking about how to provide instead of being selfish and thinking about own self. King is a king because they think about their population first. Government is elected so it can provide for the general population. And fathers turn their world upside down to provide for the family. If any three of these fail to do what is expected of them, they will lose their position and respect and someone else will have to play their part. Someone who will bear those responsibilities, act with discipline and think about providing, not receiving.

If you have a weak sun in your chart, and you know you put yourself first and barely think about providing others, these are some basic remedies which will strengthen your sun when done over a period of time. Don’t expect them to magically change you in a day. This is a continuous process and requires discipline. Do these for regularly and you will notice your consciousness shifting. You will start thinking bigger and for others.

Some basic remedies of Sun:
1. Offer water to sun from a copper vessel at the same time daily.
2. Chant gayatri mantra daily or any other mantras of Sun.
3. Wear ruby on ring finger.
4. Wake up early every morning and look at the rising sun. Admire it and be grateful.
5. Worship lord Rama, read ramayana or learn about it.
6. Light a ghee diya in the east portion of your house/roof/balcony every Sunday for 14 weeks, starting on an amavyasa Sunday.
7. Improve relations with your father- obey and respect him. At least don’t disrespect him.
8. Do not cheat the government for taxes or anything else.
9. Drink water kept overnight in copper vessel first thing in the morning.

You may ask why do I need to think big? I have my own needs and I should only think about myself. Yes, you can definitely do that but remember that mentality will never make you king. You will only be a part of the general population. So if you have that goal in mind, you do not need to strengthen your Sun.

But if you have bigger goals, if you want to make your life better, take responsibility of others and provide for them, this beautiful universe will make sure to provide you enough so you can become the king. You will have more than enough if you think about providing for others. If you put yourself ahead of others, you will receive for yourself only, don’t expect abundance then.

Saturn (a shudra) thinks only about self and providing for self.
Sun (the king) thinks only about providing for others and that’s why it’s the king.
